More Unsubstantiated Transfer Gubbins - Azzedine Ounahi 13:38 - Aug 19 with 1739 viewsCheltenham_Blue

"Azzedine Ounahi's future is agitated again. As Mundo Deportivo has been able to learn exclusively, Hull City, Ipswich Town and Al-Ittihad have begun to press to get the services of the Moroccan midfielder, one of the main proper names that Girona still has to solve before the close of the market.

The three clubs have shown their willingness to move forward for a footballer whose future is far from Montilivi. Ajax joined them again, whose interest has regained strength in recent days, as reported by the SER. The Dutch option also has an important sporting condition: Míchel knows the player perfectly after directing him in the Catalan squad and would see with very good eyes to have him at his command again.

The scenario has changed compared to previous weeks. Ajax had already appeared in the race for the player, although Girona's economic pretensions and the important existing competition hindered the progress at the time. Now, the Amsterdam frame is once again present in a bid that begins to accumulate alternatives.

The English market also appears strongly. Hull City and Ipswich Town want to incorporate the Moroccan international and begin to move with intensity to try to tackle the operation. Al-Ittihad completes, for now, the group of suitors that is squeezing the most and adds the Saudi way among the possibilities to continue the midfielder's career. Of course, the project must convince the player, who values a guarantee project.

Ounahi recently returned to Girona after playing the World Cup with Morocco and then enjoying his vacation. His prominence in the World Cup event, where he made history by becoming the first player of the Gironi squad to score in a final phase, further increased the showcase of a footballer with numerous suitors.

Meanwhile, Quique Álvarez is still waiting for a resolution. The Moroccan still belongs to the blanc-i-vermella squad, but his departure would allow Girona to earn income and, especially, free up an important chip to continue strengthening. The race for Ounahi begins to accelerate."

Stu Watson has written a piece on this link.. cant read it as im not a paying subscriber of KOA

Scored twice against Canada in the World Cup and played a lot of minutes…

Wiki saya he played plenty of minutes for Girona in La Liga last season scoring 5 goals as they were relegated so would imagine he’s looking to leave.

Might be that we’ve moved on from Palacios?

Was Alex Jones... suggested Ipswich are keeping their options open

Was only his personal opinion that he'd be a good option. Didn't rubbish the link, but also didn't say there was anything in it.

Top quality midfielder and would be happy if we were to get him. As it suggests in the article though you'd imagine Ajax were favourites to sign him with Michel going there.
