If Palacios signs 09:11 - Aug 22 with 984 views

Might GON use Enciso, like at Strasbourg, as a false 9 at home against the big teams, and in all our away games?

This would allow Palacios to play ahead of both Lukic and Florentino in midfield. Both Enciso and Daizen would be capable of the false 9 - Daizen playing that role transformed Celtic at the end of last season.

Might mean we have enough up top with both Emersonn and Akpom and maybe another as a loan

I think there will be games like that. Palacios more likely to be deepest I would think. Lukic more capable of more advanced midfield.

Palacios is a CM not a 10. We need 4 in there with injuries suspension rotation finishers etc.
Very confident a 9 is on the way. No need to shoehorn people into roles they don’t normally fulfil.

I don't think playing a false 9 in the true sense will ever be a good idea for us. It only works well if you can dominate the ball. If your deep under the cosh against a big team you have no out ball.
