Congrats today on the win, as much as it pains me to say it! It was a close match, but you punished two mistakes and deservedly took the points. Always had a soft spot for the Mackems.
My grandad was a lifelong Sunderland fan and my first ever Town game was against Sunderland in 1981.
I remember going up to an away game in the late 90s. We lost 1-0. Reidy was in charge.
We spent the weekend up there and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome in the pubs and clubs.
A great Club and great fans.

Thought a draw was probably the fair result today. And I thought you looked a strong and really well organised team with quality. You look settled as a group with good patterns and relationships between players.
Think you’d have beaten many teams in the Prem today with that display.
Town didn’t have your cohesion or understanding in some parts but we really got our press going, forced some errors and we now have a team with the quality to punish teams.
