I know the queuing was a nightmare but the actual layout inside the west stand was really good. Never seen so many toilets in an old stand whilst the areas for televisions/bar facilities look well placed as well

Looking forward to it all being finished

I arrived at the ground just after 1.30 and there was a big queue at the usual entrance. Myself and others were advised to go round to where the rotting ticket office was.

There was about five minutes wait and the security guy waved his magic wand an I was in the Fanzone. After seeing an and listening to the great Frans Thijssen, watching a little Hull v MU, I went to the back of the stand where the automated ticket entry was. There was a steward at every entrance, but I didn’t need one. Waved my phone at the symbol, a green light a came and presto I was in. No problem.

The space under the stand is much larger than I expected and they’ve done a great job getting it useable for today. Lots of work to do. The bogs were pristine. No fetid stench, paddling in p£ss, sticky doors and basins with taps that work! It was like the 21st century!

My seat neighbour arrived later and had more difficulty with the queues. I’m sure they’ll sort it but in the meantime if you can, allow lots of time

I'd love to know how they seemingly got the majority inside in time for kick off. The queues were ridiculous, both along Sir Alf Ramsey Way and through Alderman Road Rec, at around 2:30.

Wonderful toilets and finally loads of hand dryers that actually work.
Although they will fail soon because like everything electrical if its not used it fails.
