Was how we played. High tackling, attacking, well organised in defence.

If Town continue in this way, we're going to be a very entertaining watch this season.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

If I were to play devil's advocate. Slightly worried about our right hand side....a lot of joy for Sunderland there today. That's probably my takeaway from an improvement perspective.

The press, though, was impressive. We really pushed high at times and enforced a number of errors. Our transition from defence to attack was also extremely good, and quick.

Tackles, blocks and bodies on the line as well. All in at times and that's a good sign.

We didn't look overawed or out of place either and last 5 mins we really set that back 5 well.

Still need two or three more as well.

Really good performance overall and an excellent 3 pts.

The one thing about the right side is it had real issues in the first half but it felt, live, that they had sorted it out for the second. Angulo was less of a threat and subbed. And his replacement didn't do much. I'll see if I agree with that assessment watching the game back!

High tackling might be something to avoid now VAR’s back in play..

Sometimes I giggle about the frothing lunatic who’s put me on ignore and now has to constantly log out to see what I’ve said. Beneath that counterfeit persona lurks the same pitifully desperate egomaniac.

The number 10s on both teams were the star performers in this match. He gave Fatuwu a tough time in the opening 45 and i was surprised to see him come out for the second. Fortunately their 10 went off early in the second half and to be fair to abdul he was excellent once he didn't have to contain 10.

I think we would have been even more imposing on the game if we had Luis or Matusiwa next to Lukic. If we do we might cause them a lot of problems at old trafford next Saturday.

The endeavour and quick feet- getting a toe in when not expected, was key. Maeda, Enciso and Lukic in particular on that. Fatawu struggled first half, improved a good deal second.
