Hopefully Flemming incoming is all but done.
The really obvious gap for me is RB - we need a dedicated 1st choice RB so that Dara can play in his proper position, and Darnell provides cover.
Are we loaning or selling Alex Palmer? Not sure how happy he would be to be 3rd choice.
Then there's Mehmeti and Taylor. If those 3 go out, we still have 2 squad places left after getting Flemming and a RB (but presumably Button would be 3rd choice keeper, leaving one more squad place) . I'd like to see another CB - we get through them during a season what with suspensions and injuries. Not sure I want to see Kipre up against some of the attackers in the Prem.

It only works if we can upgrade McAteer. No point getting rid if we can't get in a better replacement. The clock is ticking. And maybe he's good enough as a squad player to compete against lower half teams. That's where we need to get our points.
I wouldn't rule out Philogene playing RW if he stays. |
If we cannot find an upgrade on McAteer then I would be bitterly disappointed. I am hopeful he goes out today, gets lots of minutes, does well and we can recoup some of the heftty fee we paid for him.
JP is an interesting one. Same with JC, netiher seemed to be able to dominate games in the Champ from the right so I would be surpised they could do it in the PL off the right. |  | | |
