Considering Villa's track record (see Philogene) I wouldn't be surprised if they messed us about as well. Said he could go, realise they had an issue bringing in another striker, then told him him, if he stayed, he would have a chance of playing. |  |

Would love to know what the 'work to be done' really meant, but we will never find out. I think that's a poor guess. If he was loaned here Villa would need a pretty poor season to end up relegated.

He didn't and left us with Frimmers fuming that we're once more down to the deadline day before we settle things. Thanks Tammy - i could have done without that :). FWIW, I think Flemming could be a really solid signing. I'm not a fan of getting players from relegated teams - but do think in this guys case he demonstrated enough to suggested that he wasn't one of those that wasn't good enough for the Prem. |  |

In the BBC article about the Balagun deal falling through with Everton, it mentions Everton went for TA but he also turned them down so maybe he really wants to fight for a Villa shirt. Doesn't say when Everton tried, but I wonder if that was yesterday evening when looking for an alternative to Balagun.
