TWTD. I’m sure we had Escaped Goats before him, but that was the first time I became aware of any large scale targeting of a player. It was around the early internet days, so presumably that was when scapegoating became more visible.

I quite liked him. I thought he and Westy worked well together for a couple of years.

Fans have had scapegoats for years and years. I remember as a child reading ITFC supporters annual from approximately 1975 and in interviews with players inside at least 2 had mention of fans being on their backs. Crazy when you think how good the side was in those days

Delaney - a Premier League centre back whom Keane saw fit to play at full back. I could go on, but I'd better not.

Those were the days. He was addicted to playing 4 CBs across the back wasn't he?

We got rid of David Wright at RB and never replaced him.

Delaney was never a LB but Keane insisted. Great career though and good player. Didn't he tell Jewell he was going to America before turning up at palace and playing PL for the next half decade?! True banter era.

Yes there was a game at Watford in October 2010 when we started with 4 centre backs - Troy Brown, Gareth McCauley, Damien Delaney & Tommy Smith & four central midfielders - Norris, Colback, Leadbitter & Livermore . What a surprise - we had no width & were 2-0 down at half time. Even Keane could see it wasn't working so he eventually made some changes & we only lost2-1.

Would happily miss the allure of the hot pant dressed ITFC dolly girls or the dance group if it meant I could enjoy a halftime cuppa.
Joking aside isn’t it so stupid that it is so difficult to get a drink , a bag of fries , sausage roll etc Mark Ashton keeps telling us we are in the big league now but cannot provide basic amenities for the general supporters,
I bet he has no problem at halftime, I know it’s a boring rant but please Mark leave the hob nobs and take a walk in the stands and see the real supporters experience!
