I do think that whilst there are a few of our fans who think that we should be doing better a vast majority are sensible enough to realize that we are doing o.k.
Not ripping any trees up, but doing o.k.
Many of the teams who we will hope to beat, excluding those that were promoted with us have only to consolidate. They can buy a couple of players, maybe three and pay £40,50 or £60 million for each of those player and that's all they need.
We replaced a majority of the team out of necessity and to hopefully just keep in this league and that is all that matters currently.
Keep in this league and hopefully not too many of the purchases we have made won't be snapped up by bigger clubs for mega money. So we like the other teams just interested in sustaining Premier League status will only have two or three player to get in and upgrade on what we have. |  |
