I admit to now being a grumpy old man and getting irritated seeing all the tourist & glory hunter fans now we are back in the Premier League.
However, I was cheered no end by a little lad in Portman Road before the match. I would guess he was 7-8 years old. His dad stopped at one of those wretched half & half scarf merchants and asked his lad if he would like one. The vendor straightaway put one round the boys neck and the lad snatched it off and said "No, I want a proper Ipswich one"!

I don't get why our fans buy anything from those cockney tat merchants that only pop up when we're promoted. I get that its cheaper than what the club sells, but what they sell looks obviously fake and naff anyway. |  |

I thought this was going to be praising their lad who scored two goals. He had a decent evening too but well done the lad you mention as well. I hope he enjoyed the game despite the result. I found the edge taken off it myself by the fact the way the score went. That was a shame because I think at 0-4 it flattered them greatly. 2-4 seemed a much better reflection but that would have been much more exciting had they never been more than 2 goals ahead. |  |
