I love the optimism, im certainly at the level that i was at when going into the last attempt at PL survival, but we are a bit scarred by how difficult games were that time.
This is a different group and manager. We are not talking about gelling and how we are a PL club built with L1 players. The mindset is clearly different and the players have some sucesses to carry with them into games Eg wins, points, good performances, come backs, late goals.
I expect a reasonably open game, tactically teams seem to be more open at this stage as they are in points hunting mode, teams are more happy to take a knock before they start to defend point totals they have on the board later in the next phase of games. This is a moment of maximum opportunity for us and we need to make the autumn phase count.
