I'm home alone for the next couple of weeks while the Mrs is on holiday. I've just gone into the kitchen to find a giant house spider chilling on the wall. Tried to catch it, somehow missed, and it's fallen off the wall and gone missing, nowhere to be seen.
What do I even do now (aside from burning the house down)?
As for the OP, just don't tell the wife or hope it comes back out before she comes home and you can gently pick it up and place it away from the house outside.

So why do the large ones come indoors in the autumn? Are they outdoor ones that don't like it too cold or indoor ones that go on vacation in the summer?
I am quite sure the wife is pleased if they do die anyway. I usually have to flatten them.
