There was contact! Engineered contact yes. But how is that any different from when a player places his body between ball and opponent to shield the ball, feels a little contact from behind and goes down? Tarkowski did exactly this near the end. This is why incidents like Fatawu's are not given as fouls, but also aren't a yellow card. If we're handing out yellows for engineered-contact, then there'll be very few players left on the pitch most games.

He was diving (almost horizontal) before he made contact with their player. It was very, very obvious. |  |
