No bothered about clean sheets 16:20 - Sep 19 with 531 views3_5_2

GON has said today that he is not that worried out us keeping clean sheets

Then given we concede an average of 2.6 goals a game, we need to score 3 to get a win

Strange thing to say, this will be our downfall

How do you work out 2.6 ppg? In the league 10 in 4 is exactly 2.5 with matches including Man Utd and Liverpool. If you include the cups (I wouldn't) then it comes to exactly 2.5 as well.

Clearly it is a very small sample size at the moment too.

I would suggest that O'Neil's thinking is something along the lines of being better to go for 3 points trying to score than to try to be solid and pick up a few draws. It is a bit of a surprise that he takes this approach because I expected it to be a lot more shut up shop, low block and play on the break.

He is clearly right. We will not get safety in this league by trying the be solid and hoping for a lucky set piece. We need to be able to secure three points, which means scoring goals.

3 wins and 3 losses is much better than 6 draws...

I agree, we aren’t set up to sit back and grind it out like Hull. We’ll definitely beat a few, we are clearly more competitive this time round.
