| Trump lying through his teeth again 20:27 - Sep 22 with 1193 views | redrickstuhaart | Apparently Ukraine's strikes inside Russia are having a major impact on Diesel prices. Because we all buy our Diesel from Russia... Oh. Add to that further criticism of the Chagos deal. A deal previously agreed and approved by the US, and negotiated by the previous government ( who also now criticise it). | |

So in this instance he is right. His attack on iran has probably caused more issues however. [Post edited 22 Sep 20:35]

Really isn't. The strait of hormuz dwarfs any tiny impact it could have made. | |

| Trump lying through his teeth again on 21:15 - Sep 22 with 982 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | This is silly - it’s a global market, and it’s had a huge impact on supplies. Russia is one of the world’s biggest diesel exporters. They switched to selling a lot of it to India and China after Sanctions. Since Russia moved to ban diesel exports, markets like India are now paying spot prices well above market value to replace supplies. So absolutely Ukraine’s strikes in Russia have had an impact on global diesel prices. A broken clock… | | | |

Loss of diesel through reduction of Russian market is about 3% from global markets (350k barrels per day), loss of diesel coming out of Middle East since US attacks is around 6% of global markets (770k barrels per day). US action in the ME has had double the impact of the Ukraine conflict, so I would suggest that there is of course global price rises as a result of both conflicts, Trump is deliberately misleading what has had the biggest impact. EDIT: Don’t forget the biggest impact from Middle East is not production but supply through Hormuz Straits being closed. This pushes up crude which then impacts diesel prices. Yes of course, it’s deeply disingenuous when the US is also the biggest refiner of diesel in the world. And Trump is a berk - but I’ll continue to call out uneducated comments like ‘Apparently Ukraine's strikes inside Russia are having a major impact on Diesel prices’, because it’s not true, it IS having a major impact as the second largest diesel exporter in the world (hence the UK disgracefully softened Russian sanctions rather than cutting duty).
