I got out of web dev for (mostly) SMEs about ten years ago, and I'm bloody glad I did. It strikes me though that there might be some client pushback at some point, and a premium paid for a more traditional (!) waterfally-type development cycle with human involvement at all stages. Wouldn't bank on it though.
