These things happen; maybe we were too comfortable at half time? Two teams out there, unfortunately. At least we didn't lose.

Indeed. Hull did change formation to match ours at half time, so you need to give them some credit.

I've watched a fair bit of Hull and that first half performance was the worst I've seen from them. That was never going to last. They're very effective down either flank and on the counter and need very few chances to be effective. Once their first goes in, it was always going to swing and be very be tricky there. It's a shame both their goals were gifts and the refereeing decisions in places went against us (I'm yet to see what Enciso's first was disallowed for, but O'Shea could've had 2 pens before that), but I'm not too upset / surprised overall. Their home results are Brentford (draw), Everton (draw), Villa (draw) and United (win). Beat them at home and I'm OK with a draw there.

O'Neil was too slow in reacting IMO, when it was obvious Hull's changes had made an impact.

I watched it live in the USA and agree we were totally on top in the 1st half and should have been 2 or 3 up. Couple of defensive errors but deserved at least a point or maybe 3. Overall showed we are good enough to stay in this league and should do so. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yep. The game was getting away from us and it was only a matter of time till they got a second. Make the changes 5 minutes earlier and we get control of the game back and probably go on to win, in my opinion.
