| Presser on 13:33 - Nov 6 with 0 views | PhilTWTD | Great to have call-ups. Recruitment drive in the summer led us further away from England. Have managed to recruit some really good players and from that you see them go away on international duty. Wish them well but hope they come back fit, they did last time. Proud moment for them and their families. International call-up for Ouattara will be big for him and his father. Couldn't believe when I came in at Strasbourg he wasn't getting call-ups, so delighted his work here and at Strasbourg has got him that recognition. Spent a lot of time with his father, know what a proud moment it will be for them.

Enciso, had no doubt around the quality that Julio brought. Doesn't mean it's easy. Team have adapted to him and vice versa. Knows what's needed from him, numbers have been exceptional. No matter how good I thought he was, there's always a doubt in the PL and in a newly promoted team in the PL. Credit to him and the team. Nowhere near done, but a good start for the team, for all the new signings.

Lukic has trained well this morning, did some important tactical stuff and no reason he can't start on Sunday.

Bournemouth have obviously found a good way at the moment. Last night's game was only a game for a while. The squad put together over the years is very impressive. Saw the team last night, many changes, still strong. New coach has had an impact, clean sheets not easy to come by. But our focus is us, get to PR and try and perform and get three points.

Clean sheets, only really concerned about three points. But over the season, how many goals you concede will have an impact. Team has a god balance, but probably conceded too many goals, but not a team structure thing, it's more about errors. Last year in the Championship, half probably wouldn't result in an goal. Focus always is on clean sheet.

Excellent. I’m extremely bored on the 6th hour of an 8 hour airport delay so this is about the best news I’ve read today.

Time and AFCB feels a long time ago. I feel like a different coach now to then. I'd only been a coach for a bit after finishing. Went straight in, working and learning, didn't have anything definite for how I wanted my team to play, so to be thrust in in that manner was a test, but one where I managed to show I could put a team together and that gave even me belief that I could do the job. No problem with how and when I left at all. Players still there that worked for me were great, amount of blood and sweat they gave for me, but doesn't mean I don't really, really want to beat them. That was a good dressing room, but somehow this is even better. I'm in a great place now with a great set of players, facing a team which has won seven in a row. How inspiring is AFCB journey? They've continued to grow, investment has been there, managed to use that well. Excellent recruitment model, have recruited good coaches. Success story for a club of that size, stadium small for the level. We can take heart from them, Ipswich has same potential, if not more.

Florentino, really pleased, midfield very competitive. And you can see they're aware of that with how they play and train. T was a good addition for us and can help us again this weekend.

How different under new manager? Pretty different out of possession, lots of more direct passing from full-backs. Similar rotations, but out of possession biggest change. Physically they've run a lot, so any tactical tweaks are easier then. There are differences but not radical. New manager has had a good start. They were unlucky at City, home game against Everton could have won. Were unfortunate to be where they were after a few games, but obviously are now getting rewards and are in a good moment. We've spent this week making sure we have ways of hurting them.

There will start to be discussions around January, not specifically during the international break. But the majority of the work will be making sure players stay up to speed. Some will probably be involved with the U21s, will probably have a friendly as well. But also a break as it's been flat out. Will get them back refreshed.

Chant? I've heard it, am concentrating. Very flattering. First thing I talk about is the relationship we've managed to create with the fans, which is good given the previous manager's success. For the players, to have the fans behind us is huge. I can't overstate it, I know as a player the difference between fans grumbling or being behind you. Would have made a difference to me. Exceptional group of fans. Confident we can keep the fans in that place, we need them. If we had to play the game on Sunday behind closed doors, our chances of winning would be much less.

I get onto Julio on defensive side, not that he needs loads of it, but sometimes needs reminding. Then attacking-wise, we allow him to make decisions. Allow him freedom to do that, give him ideas as well, of course. I don't want to name loads of defensive players, I'd rather do it with more attacking players on the pitch, so if I can get them to do the job I then have attacking players who can get goals at the other end. No complaints from me on that front.

Not surprised Bournemouth have developed as quickly as they have. I knew when I was there that the aim was high from a recruitment perspective. All of it has led to them being in a really good spot. I see Sunday as an opportunity to lay down a marker. Similar for Town? Easy to talk about it, almost disparaging to do so. The steps to get to where AFCB have got to are significant. So many things to go from where we are now to where we want to get to. So to glibly talk about it does it a disservice. You don't need me to tell you how ambitious this club is. We know where we want to get to but don't want to talk about it as something which simply can be done. Next step is to beat AFCB. AFCB exit seem brutal? It's a business you need success and every club needs to make a decision. I was a risk, they had ambition, then there's a decision to make on whether to keep me or bring in a more experienced manager, as they did. I've no problem with that. And now I'm at the best place I've ever been.

We love you too Gary. You keep us up and build a legacy here and you will be loved here like no other club will ever love you. [Post edited 6 Nov 14:35]
