I think a good number of our supporters need to remember who we are, and who we are playing against. How many of our starting 11, let alone the subs make it into the Bournemouth starting 11?
Palacios, maybe Enciso? And that's about it. We gifted them two goals, and people are staying we 'barely laid a glove on them'. No we didn't, but we were playing an established Premier League club who have been playing out of their skins in recent weeks.
Look, this season is going to be a struggle, we need to be better than three other sides to have a successful season, without signings who have a similar level to Palacios in January, we are just about better than three other sides, but not by very much at all. [Post edited 8 Nov 18:26]

The problem being " who we are " has absolutely nothing to do with basic goalkeeping errors. They are shot stoppers, not silky skilled midfielders, with an incredibly few exceptions. |  | | |

I agree, without him weād probably conceded 15-20 from long range shots š

Poor pass backwards yes. Imo we shouldnt be passing back from that position. From there we got a foot to initial cross. 2nd cross/shot walton is nowhere near it which he should have been and davis unlucky with deflection.

Agreed, Iām proud of the fact weāve been competitive in every single game. No, not a great performance today and yes WE made mistakes but to perform badly and still be āinā these games all the way to the final whistle is something to be applauded. Our players are going to make the occasional mistake, theyāre Ā£10/20/30m players not Ā£100m superstars that donāt make silly mistakes. Yes, obviously thereās a conversation to be had when same players are making the same mistakes and yes, Walton is now walking on that very fine tightrope, but I personally donāt feel anyone deserves to be chucked under the bus just yet.
And for the record, personally Iād have stuck with Sherpen in the first place, but feel his confidence will be too fragile now to throw back in just yet. Maybe OāNeils first real mistake, but his only real one so far tbf to him imo |  |
