We already have bulbous bows and low friction paint coating.

The EEE’s are twin prop, with one right hand and one left hand turning.

We trim by the head instead of the stern on long crossings, this has been shown to be more effective. There used to be a school of thought that trimming by the stern would give better fuel economy.
