I'd say we'd be releasing or selling some before anyone comes in. I expect Huws to get all his game time here now after his start and performance at the weekend. I said months ago that i thought PL would hold Huws back for the first half of the season, firstly- to introduce him slowly and build his fitness gradually but also to keep him out of the January transfer window. I'd be really surprised to see him go anywhere. |  |

90% of transfer rumours never come to anything. Whether that's because there was never anything in them or because they don't progress probably varies.
Huws, I would be very surprised.
Winnall not exactly the priority for where to spend money at the moment.
Kirk - as per Winnall but if he is a cheap prospect for the future who knows?
Szmodics - has been rumoured for a while, not getting games for Bristol City, from this area. Would he be a replacement for Georgiou, hopefully with far more impact? Can he play wide?
MacAlinden - smacks of an agent putting a name around and suggesting a couple of decent clubs have shown interest in order to help generate interest from somewhere.
I would not expect a lot of activity this window unless someone comes in with a big offer for any of our players or an OK offer for those we want to move on. |  |

What's that? That they will get less pitch time due to more rotation or that they won't be playing at all?
The truth of the matter is that there are some fairly regular first team players who could do with extra pressure on their position but if they know they are going to be in and out of the side regardless, their performance levels matter little. It is a careful balance between complacency and getting the best out of players. I don't think Lambert has found it yet. | |
