Just shows money doesn't guarantee entry to the promised land. When you get there you have to spunk loads more in the hope to stay there as Fulham found out & Villa are about too. I hate to say it but the mob up the road seem to have gone about it right way. Become a yoyo club.

That made me raise an eyebrow when I heard that.

£10m back in 1993, at a time when the world record transfer fee was only £12m. That's like someone coming in and spending £155m in today's terms.

To have that sort of investment and not even make the playoffs, that's the most Derby County thing ever.
