We could but we would probably have to win promotion in order to cover the fine and we’re just far too damned feckless to actually achieve anything. Especially in a s–t or bust situation.

This is far more transparent and timely than FFP though. Under FFP nobody has a clue what your numbers look like until the audited accounts have been filed and an investigation has taken place - usually 18 months or so down the line.

We will have to submit our wage bill at the end of both transfer windows - would suspect any non-compliance will be dealt with in the season being played i.e points deductions/fines.
