It certainly has a similar feel to the last few months of MM's reign from memory. Lots of frustration from all concerned and quite a lot of negativity surrounding our play and performances. It's building up to how it ended abruptly from the last campaign, if the season had carried on I'm convinced that PL would've been given the boot it was most definitely heading that way. At times, I thought PL had thrown the towel in, but then COVID raised it's ugly head and it gave him that stay of execution. We might be sitting 3rd currently (on GD), but it really does feel like a false position, if ME can't see that we just aren't making any headway under PL then he's more daft than I thought. These type of performances are becoming the norm, it's a grind, there's little enjoyment or flowing football and if this continues then I feel sure a top 6 finish will be out of reach and that's got to be the minimum requirement this season. | |
