...as I’ve had more personal family matters to attend to this week, but bloody hell. Lambert should have gone last season and the fact he got a 5 year contract instead is nuts.
My two cents, which no one asked for and has probably been already said by others, but surely we are at the point where banners aimed at management changed are papering the cracks?
Evans needs to up his investment and restructure the back room or put the club up for sale and cut his losses. No one is going to buy the club at the rate he wants off the back of a chance enquiry out of the blue. He needs to accept it’s a money hemorrhage to his business and chalk it up as a failed venture. It’s what smart people do, rather than doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.
Whispers from strong sources suggest he’s lost the dressing room and the players aren’t in it for him. That’s the GAME OVER screen for most clubs, but not use apparently. |  |

Don't think anyone is really going to disagree with your points.
However the issue is how can he actually up the investment? It's too late - he could have done it last year but didn't and now he can't because of the salary cap.
He's missed the last train home and he's walking as we aren't allowed to spend on the cab.

Remember when we used to say “Could be worse, could be Portsmouth/Blackpool/Coventry”? Other teams say that about us now :( | |

Who is going to buy a club in League One with large overheads and a salary cap which means you can't buy promotion.
Wouldn't seem like a good investment to me.
It's hugely depressing.

And this is why, in my post this morning, the focus wasn't on Evans.
He is going nowhere. The 'only' change we can hope for is a manager who can get promotion despite Evans. |  |
