Go one down and Nolan gets injured - sure that’s happened a few times. 12:26 - Dec 13 with 700 viewsCoco

There is a defeatist soft underbelly at the club and has been this was for quite some time and everyone knows when things aren’t fun at any club the injuries seem to pile up.

The injuries are an issue of course but a competent coaching team would have us at least scrapping and battling for results. I mean this is a league that saw Wycombe Wanderers promoted last season.... if only we had their budget and resources right?

We are being run like an impoverished 3 tier club by a man paid a king’s ransom. Basically, Lambert is paid a Championship salary to tell us we should expect league one obscurity. He has always tried to con his bosses but this time he seems to have really done it - or maybe Evans is just fearful of the inevitable lawsuit sacking him brings.

A real sad state of affairs.

And it starts at the top. Our owner seems to know less and less about football with each passing year and continues to spin his “life’s not fair” narrative. As you point out, low-budget Wycombe went up last year. As did Coventry who are literally fking homeless. So it’s not about resources, it’s about having a plan, a structure, good coaching, good sports science... in other words it’s about fundamentals. Something that after 13 years in charge shouldn’t be a surprise to Evans. Then again it took him over a decade to clean the stadium roof.

There are so many things rotten at the club, but to give just one example: Dave Bowman. Employed by Mick years ago and here we are two managers later and he’s still around. And doing what exactly? Officially as Director of Football but we’re told he’s more of a chief scout.

Us being in League 1 is like seeing a family member being moved into a nursing home. If things stay the same, next stop will be the hospice.

People from nursing homes have generally come from a hospice, not the other way around. Generally the next stop after a nursing home is the undertakers'.

Really? I thought hospice was where you go to see out your final days?

That’s a bit harsh innit? Sure he’s crap, but I don’t think we can accuse him of giving up. His injury problems seem pretty genuine to me and he wouldn’t be able to fake it.

Depends if you're dying of something that requires the specialist intervention to manage your symptoms by skilled hospice staff or if you *just* need TLC and good nursing care.

Been saying this for a long time. They just have no fight. Always looking for a way out of the team, rather than fighting to get in it. They have things way too cushy at PR.
