Interesting question. I don’t think Mick would like McGuinness - reckon he’d play Woolfie at RB and Chambers at CB.
That midfield also looks a bit lightweight for him - I reckon he’d play Judge where Drinan is and bring McGavin in.

He would set up to be solid, a 442 or 4231 with no width in midfield like he used to do with Anderson and Hunt on either side. I’m amazed that Lambert hasn’t tried it, being solid first that is, given our injuries, as a point against rivals is good news.

I like McGuinness, I do, he clearly has bright future, does a lot of good things, but makes a lot basic mistakes where he is still learning. That would be fine, however he’s not our player, we are merely helping develop someone else player learn from their mistakes, at our mistakes. I would rather we be doing that with Ndaba. |  |
