Is there genuinely any player worthy of the club shirt 16:43 - Jan 23 with 444 viewsskankerman

Even in a poor team there will be players or a player that shines through, standing out consistently weekly.
Putting the emotions to one side with many high rated young local players, is the demise down to low morale, poor tactics driven by the Management,or more simply lack of genuine ability and players being overrated.

I think it could possibly be a bit of both.
Bottom line is week in week out its 11 against 11

Sad thing is, no one really knows. Paul Lambert's tactics are woeful.

Keep in mind that Bishop and Wolfenden could hold their own in the Championship.

No. I cut some leeway for the youngest members of the squad, but the bulk of the squad is either mentally shot from losing too many games or addicted to injury.

The club is addicted to mediocrity and mired in a losing mentality - can’t even take a point from any of these big games, we’ll find a way to lose them.

It may be wise to start mentally adjusting to what this club is. A declining husk of what it once was at a time when football may be reshaped by forces we can’t control, because our owner and several of his acolytes actively accelerated that decline.

Without new investment, new thinking, new energy, new enthusiasm - we will be in League Two in the next 5 years under this owner.

The bulk of our squad was average League One and Two players before we signed them. Only the old boys in Ward, Skuse, Chambers and Judge have even been promoted out of this league - that says everything about why we are where we are and how cheap/terrible our recruitment is here. They are massively overpaid for what they do. They do not deserve to play for Ipswich Town.

This is so. Chambers/Sears/Skuse have been dragged down by the mediocrity. Hurst’s signings have known nothing but struggle and disappointment in all the time they have been here and several of Lambert’s signings, who could have made a difference haven’t been able to get off the sodding physio’s couch.
