Harry Maguire penalty shout yesterday v WBA.
Ball is played in, McGuire is offside but not flagged (as it was close) and is then fouled (or not) - VAR ruled no foul yesterday.
But, what if there was a foul? And he is ruled to be offside too? But the foul happens before the ball reaches him, but after the pass is made? Does the offside over rule the foul? |  |

He's offside when the ball is played, which was presumably before the "foul", so offside would have been given............

I noticed that one at the time.
I have a feeling the VAR was so focussed on the foul or not that they may not have looked at the offside had they decided it was a foul. |  |

He was offside, then he was fouled.
The officials thought he wasn't offside and wasn't fouled.... |  |
