What is success now? 15:54 - Feb 19 with 563 views | wkj | Mid table mediocrity used to be our bane in the Championship, but now it feels like a pipe dream. Given that the squad is in disharmony (Having Jackson and Nolan in the 23s training team is hardly harmonic), the infrastructure isn't right (according to Lambert), a glut of players looking to be on the way out, and a chairman who clearly isn't in a position to invest as heavily as he was to begin with. When next season comes, player wise, we're more or less on an even playing field with nothing but our history making us a big club, we will become an established League 1 side. Do we get excited about the lofty heights of the championship? Do we expect a double bounce? I am really torn right now at what I expect from a new manager - all I know is what I don't expect - and that is the antics of LoL Pambert.

How long do you think it would take us as fans to expect to be top half and challenging? Not long is my thought.

You mean in the Championship? I think most reasonable fans would accept a season or two of consolidation. I would.

To be honest, that is fair. IMHO Success would be something like seeing the Cowleys bought in, someone we can get behind. Their management philosophies are something we need so badly right now.

What is success now? on 17:08 - Feb 19 with 424 views | BlueWorldOrder | Within 5 years this club could be playing in the Premier League. Other clubs have done it, with smaller finances, fan bases, no parachute payments by simply creating a structure for success, hiring the right managers, coaches and recruiting the right players. This should be the ambition although Marcus Evans is incapable of doing that. Next season we should be EXPECTING to win League One and the EFL Trophy minimum. No more hiding from competition or doing the bare minimum. In to win, or Evans out.

Exactly how I feel. The biggest problem at this club over the last decade has been acceptance of mediocrity and decline. Even now you still get some fans claiming our natural level is top half of the Championship at best, which drives me mad. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The idea that we treat our cup games as reserve fixtures and have lost to the likes of 4th Division Exeter and Arsenals kids shows you the level of ambition at the top, and it has been there for over a decade now. 2021-22 - League One Winners, and EFL Cup Winners 2022-23 - Promoted from the Championship Those are the minimum we should expect. After that we should expect some cup runs, semi finals, even if we drop down again to the Championship. No more bare minimum and if that's too much for Evans to do, hes got to sell up.
