Love the commentary when Nelson goes off. He's had his nose plugged and a cold sponge on the back of his neck but he's still having to go off.

Poll: If KM goes now, will you applaud him when he returns with his new club?

Nice, especially amongst the general doom and gloom today.

In the WBA game there is someone called Robson playing for them. Wonder what happened to him? But in all seriousness great to see him playing in his pomp on the hallow turf at Portman Road. I confess that part of me wanted his shot at 3:46 to take a bobble & go in

That ball looks incredibly heavy!

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

The crossing ability of Rocky Stephenson (No 7) should be this week's compulsory viewing for Edwards and Bennetts. You can see on the Malta clip how hard it was on that sandbowl to get the foot under the ball and direct it so that makes his achievement of constantly clipping it up with accuracy the more remarkable. Please can we have a proper winger, Paul?

On the other hand, the cup defeat to non-league Peterborough had a very familiar feel to it!

Ipswich v Aston Villa FA Cup 5th round on 12:58 - Apr 3 with 1295 viewsITFC_History

*Birmingham Daily Post*

Aston Villa looked like a First Division side for 60 minutes of this exciting Cup tie only to throw the initiative away in the last half hour. It will long be argued how they came to lose after taking a deserved two goal lead. No side should capitulate from that position especially in the Cup.

Villa's manager, said afterwards: "Ipswich were beaten when we scored our second goal. It should have been all over. .

"I am not disappointed that we lost, but I am disappointed that we stopped playing and there will be some pertinent questions to be answered on Monday."

Bobby Robson, the Ipswich manager, agreed that his side were fortunate to go through to the quarter-finals for the first time in their history. But he said: "We made it hard for ourselves because our defence was standing around when Villa scored their two goals."

I got several of the Milan players autographs before the game that night.

They were warming up on the practice pitch behind the West Stand and it was not all that well lit. From memory they had black or certainly dark tracksuits on with 'Milan' in red on them so the first that you saw of an approaching player was the word 'Milan.'

That was a very memorable game-and the report in the Birmingham paper is accurate.
