Given that the EADT has reported today that Cook has told the majority of the squad that they are not wanted, either Edwards is either one of the few who are wanted, which seems quite unlikely given his stuttering form this season, or we want to sign him to sell him. |  |

It makes no sense to sign to sell. The player can go for free and get a handsome signing on fee. Or sign and be sold and let the club take some of that money. He'd laugh in their face if that's what they were trying to do. The only reason to re-sign him is to keep him. Different situation to those like Bishop who have triggered an extra year. | |
