When you say "human use of it", do you mean the setting of the rules by the humans that deem a nostril offside to be offside? Or do you mean the human who watches the replay and decides if it's offside or not? Which person in that system are you saying is not competent? If the rule says that a nostril offside is offside, then the person viewing the replay has to apply that rule, and give it offside if there's a nostril offside. Personally I would amend the rule - it's difficult to know exactly how to word it in order to improve matters, but I think the best bet is to look only at where the feet of the attacking player are positioned, and not any other part of their body. It's such a hard one to get right though. |  | |  |
