At work tonight, some of colleagues saying how the hell you not beating Newport. Reputation really big over social media etc etc. I didn't have an answer. Other fans can see we want to be top of the pile.

After the Mccarthy and the last man (forgot his name already) who chopped and changed and never knew his best team or how to play, ipswich have replayed a former manager of pompey's. Namely Paul Cook.
He isn't the perfect man for a clubs image, he has courted controversy at both Chesterfield and pompey and even Wigan. But then ipswich like pompey find themselves languishing in a false position. Both sides are natural championship teams at least. What he does have is a great idea on how football should be played. An attractive easy on the eye possession game. For that supporters at ipswich will like him. He is honest in his assessments, refreshingly so.
The new people in charge at ipswich have put their money where their mouth is. PC has been backed not with a free cheque book but in addition to a clear out that produced £3m into a watches to get a new side
This has been highlighted by the lack of investment throughout the rest of the division.
Ipswich have in the last few years had to watch lesser sides so t speak cherry pick the seemingly best players for the league . Now it seems its their turn. Most pompeyfans understand this and wish them luck. We know better than anyone that if the club is saddled with the debt then ti's could be a recipe for disaster.fans need to watch that after all you will be he long after the owners have gone.
Given that they are good owners the ipswich rightly find themselves as one of if not the favorite for the league. A new feeling for fans hat brings its pressure. PC will take time o get is ideas over but when they finally sit in it will be a great ride and teams will get hammered by his ideas.
Most pompey fans look forward to seeing you and wish you all the best for the league.
