Scotland is recording almost double the number of cases on the same day as last week for the past 4 days. Scotland had freedom day last Monday. England’s cases halved in the weeks after freedom day. And Scotland still has mandatory masks.

I see we’re at 83% adult vaccination and are now ordering only Pfizer and Moderna. Seems to be a good take up on the teenagers as well. Still not out of the woods though.

A friend has been explaining to me that 25% of tests in Florida produce a positive result which is 5 times higher than the number of positive tests in UK. Total cases alone do not give a full picture as the more you test the more you find including a high number not showing any symptoms. Off to Donegal for a weekend music break in January. Figures for Strabane & Derry are very high at the moment.

The South has four times the population but approx the same number of daily cases at the moment as the North. There was a significant jump in figures here last Christmas so if that pattern repeats, numbers Will be high in January. Donegal has always been up there numbers wise. A very beautiful County though.
