Took half the day off work today for my first away day in a long while. Thoroughly enjoyed my Journey down to London via Train with my old man. We go to most home games together and were looking forward to a relatively close to home away day. The away Pub (Hotel) was nice they put on a great spread of food and didn't mind the usual away day sounds! All the Fans were in good spirits and behaving as most people would like to see. Doing the club Proud with there behaviours. I don't need to say much about the result most of you already know. The Return leg is where our problems began. When I reached London Liverpool Street I went into the McDonald's with my old man to get some food. Only to be confronted with Two Ipswich town fans in the middle of a Homophobic Attack on a person. The person in question looked at them after their comments puzzled and walked away. The only thing they could do in the situation I suppose. As he walked away they laughed and said to one another what even was that. I then confronted the two of them. "That wasn't very nice was it" The response I received was hostile as you might imagine. "He was looking at us" "Why are you getting involved" "Do you want to go?" This situation was quickly broken up by McDonald Security staff and I was ushered out side of the establishment. We can not let this kind of thing go on. A week after supporting The Rainbow lace campaign we have traveling supporters Involved in Homophobic attacks on random people going about there day to day business. Hopefully I'm not alone with this view and maybe the men involved may see this and have a thing about how they conduct themselves as people (Ipswich Supporters) Safe Journey home to ALL fans.
