How long can you live on cold beans? 16:06 - Feb 17 with 872 viewsbluelagos

In anticipation of Eunice visiting tomorrow I checked the cupboards. Have a lasagna ready to go in the oven and that's pretty much it bar some tins of tomatoes and some baked beans.

Problem is, if we lose power I am basically living on cold beans until it gets restored.

So anyone know how long can you survive on 4 tins?

The shops are still open.

Go and get some food.

My freezer is packed so I would be more concerned about losing its contents if things went South.

Worst case can always pop out once it's blown over.

I genuinely had a tree fall in front of me (Not a massive one) this morning on a walk. Stay safe peeps - especially you guys in the South West.

Don't you have a car like normal people?

I do - but Bankster has shamed me - so went for an 8 miler.

Was proper windy - and the forecasters are saying this is the lull in between 2 storms ffs

17 days if they're Heinz.
If they are Tesco's own, life expectancy is roughly 35 minutes.

It's at times like this that our tin foil hat survival pantry comes into its own. Oh and sorry for being responsible for your almost death/injury!!

All round yours tomorrow then?

Tree was about 12 ft tall - but quite thin tbh - same width / circumference of a football. So even a direct hit would probably have only resulted in a few cuts and bruises - nothing worse.

I did wonder if I got hit should I tweet our illustrious owner and ask whether he felt it was an A&E job...

Well we all know the Daily Mail is never wrong so:

It looks like you’re good to go with the all bean diet.

Branstons are the best. Heinz are a little too sugary for me.
