Respect to him for bringing the news to us and to all journalists and the staff who are currently in Ukraine and in Moscow at this time.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of journalists in Ukraine at the moment. It comes across as a bit of an obscene peep show, when as individuals we feel so impotent (easy Hoppy & Keno!). But then that's not the journalists fault and we're the ones creating the demand or the reporting. Important that the world knows what's going on too.

Whatever, they've got balls of steel, the lot of them.

I think Lyse Doucet has also been very good.

She has. I was a bit miffed when she false equivalenced "both sides" at the start of the invasion (basically, we shouldn't trust Ukrainian source or Russian sources as they're both as bad as each other). But I understand why, as the BBC is extremely worried about litigation and being seen not to be biased in any way. But there was a better way of handling that rather than giving Russian sources legitimacy. Otherwise she's been good, and at great personal risk of course.

As has Steve Rosenberg.

It’s essential to have journalists there otherwise how do you know what’s going on?

Social media is the wild west. Clive Myrie, himself, said it there is so much c**p out there, so many lies, false information and propaganda, a lot from Russia but also some from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian people are suffering horrifically, it’s important their plight is given a platform so the world can witness the atrocities and judge Russia accordingly.

You can’t do that from a outraged Facebook post featuring a shared clip from 5 years ago.

People slag off mainstream media but it is far less influential than social media nowadays. You only have to look at Brexit to see that.
