Fantastic from Morsy today 17:17 - Mar 5 with 1055 views | Darth_Koont | Deserved his overdue goal but the overall performance was outstanding. As our only out-and-out midfielder during most of the game, he still managed to boss the middle of the park.

Fantastic from Morsy today on 17:24 - Mar 5 with 987 views | BarcaBlue | Thought he was excellent and even better when he was allowed to break forward after the Bakinson substitution. Two or three times opposition players appeared to bounce off him in the challenge, such a strong player and keeps / uses the ball so intelligently.

Neither he is or Holland was holding midfielders. Absolutely get the sentiment though - both class.

I am making no direct comparison, as to do so would be hyperbole, but Morsy shares certain characteristics with Sir John of Wark. Strong as hell, not quick at all but almost always in the right place and rarely beaten, and if he starts to regularly turn up to get on the end of crosses from Arnold Burns like he did today, he too could be scoring 14 goals in the UEFA Cup (or whatever they call the fkr these days) within a couple of seasons. I am not drunk. Very.
