Our newish manager has been good since he came in , think we all agree that . My biggest worry is are our players good enough to play the way he wants and if not will we be able to attract to L1 the quality players who can ?

We’ve managed to sign Celina, Walton, Morsy and Edmundson, Aluko and Chaplin with Paul Accor in charge and without a highly rated young manager that’s helped develop world class players.

I can’t see an issue bringing in those McKenna identities. We aren’t going to be in the market for Salah or Neves, but we won’t have an issue bringing in some more decent Championship players, if not the cream of League One.

I hope your right but the messages coming out of the club at Xmas seemed to be suggesting that we are/were close to the limit of what we are allowed in wages .

If you have a listen to what Ashton said last week there are ways round it.

Which means we need to shift players off the books. Cook stated we needed to trim the squad and then built another bloated one. McKenna has already trimmed it slightly and has stated we need a smaller one with better quality in it. This would also serve to provide a pathway for younger players to become part of the squad too.

Couple of things... Firstly, there will be one or two players moving on , most probably, which would free up some wage budget.. And secondly, if you give last weeks "Blue Monday/ TWTD" Ashton interview a watch on YT. This very subject is addressed by Ashton. And sounds like budget is not a massive issue... It's a good , positive interview, well worth a watch, and covers one or to questions that didn't get discussed at the recent fan's forum..

In all due respect, where have u been the last few weeks?

I knew this would happen after a loss, but it’s one loss! 12 unbeaten before with a club record for clean sheets. Chelsea lost 4-1 to Brentford, this stuff happens

I’ve seen enough over the last few months to know this team can win the league, WITH a few right additions. And I don’t see why we can’t attract good players again, they’ll see what’s going on at this club- Imagine what McKenna can do with his own team and a pre season!

Looking at Saturday, I think you've got to give credit to Mark Bonner. He's the first manager who seems to have had an answer to KMc's systems.

The fans forum comment about the profile of player we're looking for (strong, athletic) really made sense on Saturday as we've had a lack of these players for a while and they are the kind that help grind out results when the passing game is off like it was on Saturday.

Football is all about opinions Saturdays game i think we lost not so much that Bonner worked out our systems but Cambridge wanted it more . Think that is more or less what our manager thought too . What's that quote systems don't win football matches players do .

They definitely tried to overload our left-hand side and target Thompson and Burgess if you look at how their number 10 was positioned when they didn't have the ball, especially in the first half.

Another game where the quality players we have have not made a success of Kieran's system very disappointing again that we do not seem to be able to win these very winnable games .
