That's what we need to do consistently at PR 20:54 - Aug 13 with 872 viewstractorboy1978

Starting quick and getting an early goal makes such a difference. Whole complexion of the game is changed. Too many games last year we let drift into the second half and it gets harder and harder to get the breakthrough.

I thought we were outstanding today. Pressed with intensity, moved the ball well and there wasn't a bad performance. Donacien will probably get MOTM but Morsy was imperious - we just come to expect it now. Evans was excellent alongside him as well.

A few people in the pub were worried about MK today but we totally blew them away. It's in built in Ipswich fans to expect the worse. You look at the sides today and we had players not even making our squad that would be starting for them. And Louie Barry was starting for them (yes he did play) - he barely made our second string last season.

Whilst I agree with a lot of what you say , and hope too thst we do see much more of this at PR. Don’t underestimate MzK Dons part in OUR performance. They css as me to play “ football”, which allowed us to play our football. Rarely will you be seeing that from other opponents here this season. Our challenge is to deal with the shytehousery from opponents that we will be seeing . I actually think KmcK alluded to that I’m not so many words in his post match interview.

Play football against us, and we’ll rip you a new arsehole….

What we need to do consistently is ply for 90 minutes.

IMO we wont have an easier game all season.

im almost certain if we'd played Oxford today, for example, we wouldnt be quite so happy

They definitely played into our hands but I think we'd have beaten anyone in this league yesterday. The energy levels were excellent and we pressed them into making mistake after mistake.

The early goal does make such a difference though and will be even more important against the sides that come down here to frustrate us and not play football.

Just going from the highlights PR seemed a lot louder. Crazy celebrations for all of the goals as well which has got to be intimidating if you're used to playing in front of less than 5,000-10,000 a week which is probably most teams in the league

Unfortunately, It can also act as a bit of an adrenaline rush and raise the game of our opponents as it’s as massive “occasion” for them. But you’d hope it would work in our favour more.
