Still think we need a striker and maybe another attacking midfielder but:

IN: Harness, Ball, John-Jules, Davis, Leigh, Keogh, Ladapo
NOT SOLD: Morsy, Walton, Burns, Woolfenden, Chaplin

Getting the bulk of our business done early and keeping the stars of last season on our books has paid off so far.

Poll: Are you renewing your season ticket?

I personally think regardless of what gets done today, we’ve had a very good window.

Obviously another number 9 would be great, but if not, I think we’ll still be fine.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Good window. No panic, no desperate acquisition of other clubs rubbish. Plenty of noise and assumptions, but nothing from ITFC. The approach appears to have been measured, some clearly good players in and the body of last year’s team retained.

The assumption is that the recruitment team has been chasing Hirst all summer to the exclusion of anyone else. I doubt that’s the case, but even if the club has missed out on a target or three, I much prefer that to bringing in just anyone we can get hold of.

Who knows, if there is a gap or two in the squad, maybe a yoof player will step up. Sadly Simpson won’t be one of them. He will be gone by the end of the day and in the circumstances that’ll be for the best for him and the club.

Good window for me.. Harness been excellent after that first game.. Davis and Leigh quality additions to solve the left hand side.. Ladapo great free transfer, with more to come, I'm sure, now that he's off the mark... Ball looked tidy on his debut and once he's up to speed will be a solid addition to our midfield... Keogh a useful addition...
Think we've got some real overall value, for our overall outlay, so far..
Be nice to land someone who can cover a forward position before the window closes. But I don't think its a disaster if we don't (kind of gritted my teeth as I wrote that)..
Think we can field a decent 11 with one or two injuries. But the 3 subs on 60 minutes in forward positions. Could do with an extra body really., in order to keep up the intensity/energy in that area.
Been some decent staff additions, too. Which can get overlooked when players are coming and going.

I’ve been following the transfer moves in our league and the Championship, and can honestly say there’s not many that I feel we missed out on. To me Hirst was too much of a gamble for that kind of money. Elsewhere I feel the players we have are genuinely better than those brought in by other teams.

Would have liked to see another striker, if for cover if nothing else.

They’re asking a lot of money, if the rumour is right, for a player that’s done so little in the game for his age.

Yes, somebody else added to the forwards would be good.

Not sure we need two signings. A decent forward ( looks highly likely) and will have been a very good window. A second signing today would be the cherry on top of the cake!

Well done to all at ITFC.
