Indeed. And as I mentioned on another thread, a life well lived and enjoyed. Nobody needs to feel sad about it. Whatever your view on the concept of the monarchy, and despite her not going wanting for anything material, her commitment, service and sacrifice should be honoured and celebrated.

I do feel really sad actually, never met her but she was by all accounts a lovely woman with a great sense of humour, who loved dogs, horses and Landrovers - ie all the best things!

Serviced Landrovers as part of WW2 war effort, never gave up on doing her duty right up till the end at 96 - how many others will ever be able to say that? I admired & respected her enormously.

I do feel really sad actually, never met her but she was by all accounts a lovely woman with a great sense of humour, who loved dogs, horses and Landrovers - ie all the best things!
