Hard watch until the Ladapo/ Edwards subs. Not the game for TJJ, at all. Harness pretty ineffectual apart from the obvious.
Evans very good.
Above subs changed the game. Well in Freddie, terrific finish. Edwards had their RB on toast on a number of occasions.
Daft mistake by Woolf for the first pen.
Bishop and Koroma very good for Pompey.
Pompey timewasting after 10 (!) mins, immensely pleasing to sock it to Cowley, what a dick that bloke is.
Very very loud in NSL at the end.
Massive result, my voice is gone.

can't agree re: TJJ. We ran them ragged 1st half, and a huge amount of that was because TJJ played the lone striker role superbly, creating the press and the space for the 10s. Just as Freddie has been doing most of the season. Great tactics, great performances, great result. |  |

First half entertaining - thought we looked really good. We didn't get going in the second half and credit to McKenna for holding his nerve as I would have brought on Ball for Harness sooner to try and gain control of midfield. As it is, the subs he did gave us the kick we needed.
I thought the defence was excellent except for the error for the first penalty. The midfield dominated the first half then the 65th minute to full time but was non-existent from 45th to 65th. We scored three times so can't really criticise the attacking players!
And for all the moaning about Burns - that's why people have been slighty critical of him; because THAT'S what he can do. Phenomenal. [Post edited 1 Oct 2022 18:27]

Disagree on TJJ.
I thought he occupied their defenders really really well. Played his part in the first goal as well really tenacious work. |  |
