Shocking non-decision from VAR tonight on 22:36 - Oct 24 with 877 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Would it be given as a penalty had it been the defender? What does not look good is the way he turns his body to play the ball as it hits him. Would it be reasonable that there are offences that are given against an attacker but not for the same against the defender? Ultimately the goal was scored thanks to the defending that followed. Would have been even more interesting had the ball gone straight in from off the attacker's hand.

On the coverage over here they said the new rule is accidental handball in offensive situations won’t be punished. Which is fine but the guy handling it, it sent the ball in an entirely different direction and helped set up the goal. Still convinced VAR is going to cause an actual riot at some point. Someone like Leeds getting sent down to a controversial decision like today’s will surely spark unrest and trouble

To be fair, someone like Leeds getting sent down to a non-controversial decision would spark unrest and trouble. It did not look good, but I can see why it wasn't ruled out.

I get what they were saying in the studio. But that means had the ball gone in after he had shovelled it towards the goal it would have been a goal. The decision seemed wrong to me. Had it been at the other end, I bet the goal would have been disallowed. Mind you, plucky little bournmuff annoy me so I did chuckle.
Shocking non-decision from VAR tonight on 23:41 - Oct 24 with 734 views | Garv | I don't have a huge problem with the goal not being disallowed because far too often players are penalized simply for having arms and hands, even if this one did look a bit dodgy. For the same reason it was a shame to see the penalty given. Why are we so keen to let games be decided by a free kick from 13 yards?
