They tend to add on a set amount regardless (not sure why - it ought to be the amount of time used up). On that basis, though, if you are winning you celebrate, reset and one player limps slowly back to their half. If you are losing, you grab the ball, don't celebrate and sprint for the centre spot ready to go again.
