Championship attendances 20:22 - Nov 1 with 1427 viewsFtnfwest

I know the weathers a bit pants but it’s a long way from being the first time this season that when sky go round the grounds they’re very sparse in a lot of cases. Rangers have been topping the table and still only get 14k, Preston always looks empty, birminghams 2 sided, WBA empty. There’s a handful of clubs who get decent crowds but the rest are pretty poor. Difference to L1 is that the rest are still 10 or 12,000 as opposed to 5,000 I guess.

To be fair when we were in the Championship our attendances were low too, WBA are having a dismal season which as we well know reduces numbers quite considerably, looking at Bristol City last night Ashton Gate looked empty.

QPR have never had big attendances and St Andrews needs condemning!

Like all Town fans, I am desperate for promotion back to the Championship (as the first step). However, I really hope we can maintain this level of support, maybe even up it a little. It worries me that a season or two of midtable finishes, flirting with the playoffs or, god forbid finishing in the lower reaches might see us back to 16K averages. As evidenced above, even some sides in the upper reaches of the Championship are not pulling in the crowds. I do think, though, with a competitive side, the fan base will really get behind the club and we could snowball a few thousand more.
