This table shows the standings at the end of September.

We were 2nd, but level with Wednesday, a point above Portsmouth (who had a game in hand), and 5 points above 7th.

We're now 3 above Wednesday, 6 above Peterborough in 4th, and a whopping 13 points above 7th. So despite the understandable concern about the defence having a bit of a wobble in the last 2 games, it has been a very impressive month.
