That rumour floating around Pasoti too Might mean either Hardie or Ennis are leaving Dewsnip and Schumacher both well connected at Everton One of our internet moles posted another incoming an hour or so ago. He has been right four times this window so far Time will tell.

Where are you getting the money from to buy these players? I’m asking because you’ve had a few loanees in your squad for the season. Those players combined would surely cost a few £m?

So long story short... Our club owner has funded the club to build a sustainable Championship model over time ...thats the ambition, although we are not quite there yet. Last years financials showed we had c 3 million in the bank and effectively made a small profit before depreciation of asset charges ( wiping out any tax bill). Lats season we had substantial ( for us) windfall income from Lowe Compensation, cup run and TV fees, compensation from Chelsea for a youth player they signed etc. This season we have had above budget gates, income from Peppa Johns and TV, Camara Money( that you) plus we a re now making money from the infrastructure investment ( concerts, stadium showings of England Games, hospitality income, plus we gave the NHS. I think ( and have zero inside knowledge) that there is an element of if not now then when....we have had a brilliant start but to is clear the squad is thin by the number of players on the nbench from the U18s. The players we have signed fit a profile, Young, fit the style of play, can be improved and sold. Our salary bands are nowhere near yours so the same size squad costs us about half as much.... Next season there will nee three relegated sides plus five of the top eight all chasing the same three spots....so rather than fall away as we did last season we have reinforced the squad to allow for rotation and resting key players. And Pompey might get their sh*t together Right now our star is as high as it has been for many years....we have a smart owner ( just sold 20% of the club for four million to fund infrastructure to a bunch of very rich yanks who most likely will be the owners if we push for the Premier one day) and we have a DOF who has great connections to youth development having been the England U17 World Cup winning manager. Schumacher is also rated booth as a tactical coach and as a man manager....so that's why we are getting loans and will continue to do so. Interestingly other than Matete, all the players acquired before we tried to buy in the summer so none of these deals are directly influenced by MW being recalled. Wright who is closest to his position almost signed in the summer but went back to Leicester and themn moved on deadline day to Blackpool when they lost Bowler, ironically nor Wrights replacement, kind off as he is back on loan....explain the logic of that!! The model will be to buy young and sell on. We all know Cooper will be sold in the next couple of years.....possibly next year if we mess up and don't go up. So we have a safety net for making investment early.( which now looks like a weak pun every time I use the word) As for MW I think we have done the only thing we can do. All the cards are held by Swansea nd the player. So we have simply left it on the table that we want him and will still want him in the summer..... So if MW wants the move he just sits tight....if Swansea play him and he thrives great for him...the loan did its job. If they leave him getting splinters he just has to sit tight until they realise ours might be the only offer he will take.... If he gets an offer he likes and they want to sell than he will take it....and we will all wish him the best. I do think right now his emotional side will mean he would not want to move to a rival, so to speak, but money does talk and if he ends up with you at PR then I will wish him all the best for next season :) Nothing will happen on Broadhead with us today as we are playing.....but if he wants to he can come and watch...we are just down the road :) I also think we may part finance Broadhead if we do by selling Hardie as his contract is up in the summer....Lowe needs a striker , bought him originally from Blackpool and he and Schuey are still tight ....and we would need something to appease the restless ones if we sold our leading scorer to Lowe! Plus I am not sure you need Hirst and Broadhead plus Ladapo and Chaplin and Harness and Auko. And Ahdame and John Jules. But who knows....none of the deals we did were trailed apart from the Waine one from summer....but if we say we are working on landing two more I think that means two departures ( we have several U21s so that helps squad size). So 23 days to go.... and eight to the match....Matete v Morsy round 2 by the sounds of it

Really hope you go up*. You seem a very well run club and that is some position to be in shortly after a pandemic with no crowds. *Second to us, obviously
