It was such a shame his goals dried up here and he didn't sign but that's football. As he is a passionate Town fan i desperately wanted to see him succeed here but it didn't happen. After his purple patch of scoring and a few games after when he didnt, did he try too hard to succeed and it affected his game ? Town fan , desperate to get a contract, who knows. Was just reading the news story on this which mentioned Oli Hawkins has left Mansfield for Gillingham. Got me thinking about the window we signed Ward, Cornell and Hawkins - slim pickings. Then I found this article of all the signings made by Lambert. Not too many bright spots, it has to be said.

Granted virtually all of them were flops at the time while with us.
If you look at that list however, a good 6 or 7 are still at clubs in the championship or premier league.
Although to be honest of all 23 who aren't with us any more, the only one I'd actually want in our squad now would be Mcguinness. | |

Their fans seem very down on the signing. Dunno if it's cause they genuinely think he's not good or because he left them before.

It will be very interesting to see how he gets on there and will prove if we made the right decision in not taking him back.

Gillingham are so poo. 2 wins all season, bottom of L2. It's looking like back to back relegations for them.
